Breaking Boards

Roman is currently learning his first form in Taekwondo. To advance to your next belt you have to memorize and execute a series of moves and techniques they call forms. He will test in a couple of months for his first best and he is pumped. He has memorized the first quarter of form 1. In class on Thursday he got to break his first board. Well, it was a practice board that has a seam that releases when you kick it the right way and with the right strength....and he broke it! He broke it once with a front kick and once with a side kick. It was awesome. He has worked his way up to 6 sit ups, endless amounts of jumping jacks, 2 legitimate push ups and can run for days. He's a little machine. Willow asks me everyday when she gets to go to dance class and continues to shine. She is the prettiest ballerina I've ever seen. She is one of the most patient and obedient kids in her class. Some of the girls run around and go crazy but now Willow. She is on point and doing whatever move Miss Joy has asked them to do. Harper is still movin' and a shakin'. She freaks us out on a daily basis with all of her curiosity and orneriness. We have discovered she can climb steps now! She also likes to steal her sister's Barbies which is not a good thing. The kids have developed a love for all things Super Mario lately. Willow is obsessed with Princess Peach but we can't find anything with that character on it. T-shirts, pajamas, underwear.......nothing. If you know of somewhere I can get some Peach stuff let me know. Here's a bunch of pics from Roman's last Taekwondo class and a few of Willow dancing in her ballet get up. Check it out!
