Texas Sized Trip
We just got back from our trip to TX and we are exhausted. The plane ride there was pretty uneventful. The two bigs watched DVD's and played Nintendo DS while Harper slept. The night we arrived CW and I (me really) stayed up until about 2 in the morning decorating Roman's 5th bday cake which was a giant Spongebob. Mimi wanted to be able to say she helped, so she baked the chocolate sheet cakes. The next morning we all got up early and went to have our family photos taken. That whole experience was hilarious. The photog had us in giant weeds, jumping in the air, tripping over ant hills, looking at one another and laughing off into space. Can't wait to see the outcome of it all. Roman got lots of presents/clothes, as well as Willow and Harper. Mimi and Monkey just don't know when to quit. We ended up with one extra suitcase on our way home than we came with....packed full with toys! Chad played lots of Nintendo DS and World of Warcraft with Roman and put together some princess puzzles with Willow. He held Harper once, and thankfully we got a quick picture of that. Mimi and Monkey took us to the Grapevine Grapefest and we all rode an old fashioned train with the kids. They loved it. We did lots of shopping, lots of eating, and had lots of fun. The kids are still talking about Mimi and Monkey and how much they miss them. Hopefully we'll see them again soon. Our plane ride home was a little fussy, but in all the kids did okay. TX was a hot 80 something the day we left so you can imagine our shock when CO was 32 and had just snowed the day before. We are actually supposed to get snow tonight and tomorrow. So here are some pics of the kids and from our trip to TX. Enjoy!
