Last week Roman tested for his Orange Belt and did awesome. Not only did he do his form correctly and achieve his belt, his teacher let him and another little dude in class spar. They didn't really use sparring gear so there was no real contact, but he got to throw some punches and kicks at the kid and learned that you have to block when a foot is flying at your head. The teacher encouraged us to put Roman in his first tournament where he will compete with other little kids in his Songham One Form. Every "Tiny Tiger" recieves a trophy, so I think this will be good exposure to the sport. March 6th is the tourny date. Can't wait!
